Tablescape Thursday

Tablescape Thursday:

What Christmas at the Beach looked like last year.

Hi friends just came across a great idea Tablescape Thursday - check it out at "Between Naps on the Porch ". What a great name for a blog.

I am recycling a Tablscape from Christmas last year for my first one.
Been very absent work has been really really busy but promised myself this week that I will start getting back to dooing some of the things I love.
Off to Melbourne next week to visit my friend at Castle Cleugh.
Have Daisyson's 21st this weekend. and school and club rugby so no relaxing weekend here!!!
And I turned 46 last week.
And to answer some of your emails and comments while I have been absent:
No we didn't get flooded out but the kids schools were closed during the middle of the day and we had to pick them up early it was my birthday so I was out with a girlfriend visiting patchwork shops and books shops and supposedly having lunch didn't work out like that but we had loads of fun!
Yes I am fine not ill or grumpy just busy in fact thinking of changing the name of the blog to that "not grumpy just busy"
The vege garden is doing okay but for the first itme my tyre stack potatoes failed I only got 6 out of the two stacks!!!! Not sure why maybe there was too much water!!!!!!!!
And no I ahven't bought that bread maker yet...still can't decide what I should do and of course the sour dough started is off and running again so now it isn't an issue except I bought a box of bread mix a few weeks ago ( yeah cart before the horse stuff) so might have to get kneading which might be good for the wobbly arms I have now grown overnight since my birthday!!!!
I will really try not to be so absent am off to buy myself a laptop next week as I never seem to get anywhere near one of the four computers we have in house!!!!! Figured I can sit on the couch and blog at night when there is NOTHING on television which brings me to another technological question just how long do I have before digital tv takes over and we can't watch anything???????
I can't believe the year is going so fast I have made my second batch of laundry liquid already two more and it will be Christmas !!!! Again.

Hi DaisyMum,

Ah, good to have you back! Thought you'd dropped of the edge of the earth or something. Busy, not grumpy (always)- employment outside the busy home will do that to you.

K18 has been doing okay at Uni. Just failed a Micro Econ test by 1 mark (only fail so far), got a credit for Business assignment, just passed Accounting test (she detests it!) and also got a DISTINCTION (!) for a Marketing assignment. Yay!
Her shared living arrangments are getting her down. The two males seem to take pleasure in putting her down all the time. They being professional Uni students with no direction in life. It is okay for them to leave KFC boxes/food in the middle of the lounge room floor and pile up stubbies and soft drink bottles in the lounge (doesn't every one do that?) and not do dishes for 3 days but she left the Gladwrap out of the cupboard and they made a point of telling her! Plonkers!! It is doing her head in and she lives mostly in her bedroom so that she doesn't have to put up with them. We've had a few teary moments (her and me) but other than that, she is soldiering on. She's home for a week from 12/6 then has a whole month off where she will come home for some home cooking and mothering. Can't wait! (Some) men are 'a**-holes'. Hope your Daisyson18 is doing okay with his studies. So what team does he favour in the AFL? Gus is a die-hard Carlton Blues man. Me, I really couldn't give a fig! Lol!

Anyhoo, enough about me, are you gonna do my quiz and be in the running for a small prize? None of the overseas bloggers want to be in the draw so there are not many to choose from. And hardly anyone answered the scruncher/folder toilet paper question!

Cheers - Joolz

Hi! I followed the link from Between Naps on the Porch. This week was my first time participating too. I LOVE that you showed a Christmas table. I know in my mind that Christmas is during the summertime there, but we simply never see any pictures or anything about actually seeing it celebrated there. How fun! I know, it's silly. Must broaden my horizons!

Hi there,
also gonna do your Tablescape Thursday - Gus is cooking up a chicken storm as we speak so the camera is out for the final reveal of our table spread tonight. See you Thursday, DaisyMum!

Cheers, Joolz
